To lay a solid foundation for research, HRC offers funding for Individual Research Projects to compile and analyze data of various basic research areas. Meanwhile, to promote collaboration between separate disciplines in humanities research, HRC establishes the Funding Guidelines for the Preparation of Integrated Projects to assist preliminary choreography and planning in preparation for the formal submission of large-scale project applications to the NSC.

To promote research in areas that Taiwan excels as well as in other feasible topics to expedite cross-border interdisciplinary research collaborations, HRC establishes funding guidelines for Forward-looking Cross-disciplinary Large-scale Research Projects and maintains databases of various cutting-edge research topics.
